koi bettaBetta fish can follow a number of different foods, and varying their dietary plan will help grow their lifespan. I always try to feed my betta a mixture of different betta pellets, which really helps to vary their diet and also provide all with the necessary nutrition that they want to stay alive.

Because bettas can be a tropical fish, they require a constant water temperature that ranges between 72 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures that veer outside of this range can render your fish very sluggish and lethargic. If the water dips too much below the minimum acceptable range, you make wake up 1 day to dead fish floating inside your tank. This explains the need for a heater for proper betta fish care.

Another way to make sure the water is clean is to change part it on a frequent basis. The amount and frequency of water changes will depend on the size from the container because smaller containers will accumulate waste materials much faster than larger ones. If your fish is within a container with half a gallon of water or less, it is really a good idea to change a minimum of a third of the water every three days or so. For a 1 to 2 gallon or larger container, changing about 1 / 3 to a half from the water about once every seven days should be sufficient.

Betta Fish or prepare betta fish breeding tank Splendens can be a small fish that naturally may be found in the warm tropical regions of South East Asia therefore require warm water if kept with your home aquarium. Therefore most breeders of Betta Fish who live in climates with cold winters and hot summers elect to breed them through the summer because demands of keeping the water warm tend to be less.

Betas are perfect pets. They are likely the most eye appealing pet, which is the reason so many people are interested in them and decide to buy them whilst them as pets; the only issue is that they might need a lot more care and attention than almost any other type of pet fish.
