Course Objectives
The course presents an overview of Singapores environmental protection and
management strategies to curb air, water, land and noise pollution.
Participants will gain insights on Singapores approaches to achieving Clean
Land, Clean Air, Clean Water and Clean Energy.
Synopsis and Methodology

- Reflections on Singapores Environmental Journey
- Environmental Protection and Management in Singapore
- Legislation on Environmental Protection
- Public Cleanliness in Singapore
- Integrated Solid Waste Management System (Solid Waste Collection & Disposal)
- Management and Control of Hazardous Substances and Toxic Wastes

- Environmentally Sustainable Transport
- Energy Efficiency in Singapore
- Control of Noise at Construction Sites

Beneficios:
Under this programme arrangement, the Government of Singapore will bear the
following expenses for the successful applicants, thereafter, known as
participants during their training in Singapore. These expenses include:

- A daily training allowance of One Hundred and Twenty Singapore Dollars (S$120)
from first day to last day of the course to cover meals and daily expenses.
[Complimentary breakfast is provided in the hotel from first day to one day
after the course];
- Transportation to course venue and site visits;
- Medical insurance for participants to cover accident and hospitalisation
during their stay in Singapore in accordance with the policy of a local
insurance company; and
- Accommodation for the entire duration of the course.
Note:
(i) Participants round-trip airfares are NOT included
(ii) Participants are to bear their personal miscellaneous expenses that might
be incurred prior to receiving the allowance
(iii) Any expenses for out-patient medical/dental treatment will be borne by the
participants themselves

Requisitos:
Application Information
Applicants should be:
- Mid to senior level government officials (Directors / Deputy Directors / Heads
of
Department) with at least 2 years of working experience in policymaking for
sustainability and environmental excellence or related fields
- Priority will be given to candidates whose job scope is aligned with the
course objectives.
- Nominated by their respective Governments
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- In good health

Visa Requirements
To facilitate entry into Singapore, successful applicants are requested to
ensure that their passport or travel document has a minimum 6-month validity
period beyond the scheduled date of departure from Singapore. In the Letter of
Acceptance, successful applicants will be informed if they require a visa to
enter Singapore. They should ensure that they submit the necessary visa
applications, including for transit visas, at least 2 weeks prior to their
departure to Singapore. Successful applicants may also check with the nearest
Singapore Embassy about their visa requirements or our consular website for visa
information at

Vaccination Certificate Requirements
For entry into Singapore, a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is
required from travellers who, within the preceding six days, have been in or
have passed through any country endemic for yellow fever. The International
Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is considered valid 10 days after
vaccination and is valid for a period of 10 years.
Successful applicants without vaccination certificates or with vaccination
certificates that are less than 10 days old will be subjected to a risk
assessment by the Airport Health Office. If entry is denied, he or she will be
required to take the next flight out of Singapore.
